Neuro-Developmental Therapy is physiotherapy for children with cerebral palsy, global developmental delay, hypotonia, and the motor delays that can come with autism. Using NDT-Bobath handling, Dr. Hymavathi works toward steadier head control, posture, and movement, with the family taking part in every session. Ages 0 to 18.
Dr. Hymavathi watches how your child moves, holds positions, and shifts weight, and asks what daily life looks like at home. You leave with a written plan, not a package. If your child already sees a speech therapist, occupational therapist, or other specialist, we note that so we can stay in step with them.
Each session uses NDT-Bobath handling to guide more typical movement: head and trunk control, sitting, transitions, and steps toward the next motor milestone. Vestibular and functional training are added where they fit the goal. A parent or carer stays in the room and learns the handling.
What is practised in the session is turned into a small set of things to do at home, built into positions and play the child already meets in daily life. We show you the handling so it does not depend on the clinic alone.
We check progress against the goals set on the first visit and change the plan as your child moves on. Some children need longer, and we will tell you which on a visit, not on the website. Physiotherapy supports and works toward better movement; it does not promise to fix or cure.
No. Cerebral palsy is lifelong, and physiotherapy does not change that. NDT-Bobath works toward steadier movement, posture, and function, and toward the next milestone that is within reach. We will be honest on a visit about what is realistic for your child.
No. Thera360 is physiotherapy, run by Dr. Hymavathi alone. If your child needs speech therapy, occupational therapy, or another specialist, we coordinate with the people you already see and share notes, rather than offering it in-house.
Yes, and we prefer it. A parent or carer stays in the room and learns the handling, so the work carries on at home and does not depend on the clinic alone.
